Communications agency, ADPR, announces it has been appointed by Navily, the social cruising guide for boaters who want to find the perfect anchorage.
Navily was founded in 2014 by Edouard Fiess and Benjamin Rousseau after they spent a rocky night in an unsafe anchorage. They wanted to create a community that could share information concerning anchorages and marinas, with the added capability to book a berth at marinas.
There are now over 20,000 anchorages shared by the Navily community around the world. The Navily application enables users to rank their stay and share a comment or a photo of an anchorage or port, and the whole Navily community can freely access all the information that is shared. With almost 600 partner marinas, Navily also allows boaters to secure their short- or long-term berth. The platform simplifies the booking process as boaters can send numerous requests simultaneously to different marinas and communicate directly with them via the messaging tool.
ADPR has been brought on-board by Navily to help raise the profile of the brand in the UK and amongst English speakers across Europe, and to support the app relaunches which includes new features designed to make it easier, and safer, for boaters to take to the water with confidence.
Managing Director at ADPR, Kate O’Sullivan, says, “Boating, travel and adventure are at the heart of everything we do, so we are very pleased to announce we are now working with Navily at this exciting time. We look forward to supporting the team, promoting Navily by developing and implementing a creative and strategic communications campaign which will help them meet their business objectives.”
Lisa Kielmann, responsible for communications and marketing at Navily, comments on ADPR’s appointment, “Since our launch in 2014, the Navily community has grown to include 150,000 users across 10 countries. As we relaunch the app with new features to help boaters navigate their route with ease, we look forward to continuing to grow our mutually supportive community. ADPR’s experience in the marine sector and beyond makes them the ideal partner and we are confident that with their support we will be able to reach new audiences.”
ADPR was set up almost 30 years ago and has a strong heritage within the marine sector. The agency now has a range of clients from the marine, health, well-being, travel and outdoor sectors. Clients include Helly Hansen, Fusion Entertainment, Sunsail, The Moorings and Fairline Yachts.
