We did it!
On Saturday 8th June we took part in one of the UK’s toughest walks – the Jurassic Coast Challenge. We walked an epic 58km (36miles) and climbed an ascent of 1,650m (5,413ft) across the spectacular Jurassic coast, starting off at Poole Harbour, we walked up and down all the way across famous landmarks including Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and to the finishing point in Weymouth.
It was VERY long and tiring but totally worth it and for such a good cause… not a bad view along the way either!
We would like to thank you all so much for your support and generous donations – we have raised an incredible £3,486.00 so far, smashing our target of £3,000, all in aid of MIND – the mental health charity. Our page is still open, so if you would like to make a donation please visit: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/adpr
- A donation of £3 could put MIND’s Find the Words guidebook in local GP surgeries, helping people to make the crucial first step of asking their doctor for support.
- A donation of £8 could answer a call to MIND’s Infoline, providing someone with vital support and information about help in their area.
- A donation of £21 could run MIND’s online peer support community Elefriends for an hour, helping people connect with others and feel less alone
- A donation of £50 could help MIND campaign for better mental health services from the Government, so more people get the support they need, as soon as they need it.
Will leave you with a few photos…
